The school song is a three stanza song composed in 2003, It is centered around
the motto of the school. It goes on to speaks of the qualities a Shri student
represents and what virtues they should aspire to attain in life. In doing so
it borrows from the characteristics of the four houses From Himgiri the
mountains we aspire to strong and bold, From Sagar the ocean may learn to be
sound and steady, Vasundhara the earth beckons us to be resolute and Srishti
teaches us to revel in creativity.
The names of the four Houses that we have in our school - Srishti, Vasundhara,
Sagar and Himgiri, signify and are symbolic of the world we live in.
Himgiri which refers to the Himalayan Mountains stands for strength,
power, steadfastness, purity and solidity.
Vasundahara is the Earth which symbolizes solidness of character, forms
the base for growth and thereby nurtures fertility. Vasundhara the earth
beckons us to be resolute.
Sagar is the Ocean; deep and fluid, signifying depth of character,
humility, with the virtue of giving space to others while being sound and
steady.
Srishti signifies creation of the world, of nature; it encompasses
creativity, productivity, invention and generosity, Srishti teaches us to revel
in creativity.
