The Shri Ram School, Vasant Vihar, born out of the need felt for a space where learning takes place in a nurturing, holistic, value based and secure environment, started on 18th July 1988. It is nestled at the edge of the Ridge Forest on 1.5 acres and carefully designed to provide each student a diverse education in a safe, supportive environment that promotes sound values, self-discipline, motivation and excellence in learning.

From a modest beginning in five tents, with sixty four eager children, a handful of determined staff and a lot of faith in the vision of a child-centred school, we have grown slowly but surely, holding fast to our philosophy, to a school strength in excess of seven hundred children and a hundred and eight staff.

Our belief that learning is continuous is reinforced, as is the essential purpose of the school to improve the learning and achievement of the students. To best facilitate this, the distillation of over 15 years of the best educational practices and processes at TSRS were documented in The Curriculum Framework. Our statement of purpose sets out our commitment to our vision, core values and our educational philosophy, establishes the learning outcomes expected of each student and encourages teachers to continue to innovate and improve on existing methodology, ensuring we keep abreast of contemporary thought and innovation. To ensure that every child’s individual need is catered to, we have a Special Needs Department, which has been in existence since 1997.
